Earthquake hits Haiti

A 7.3 earthquake struck Haiti today with aftershocks registering at 5.9 on the Richter Scale.  Communcations are understandably slow to emerge from Haiti, but this event stands to be among the worst, if not the worst, natural disaster to strike Haiti.

Human loss will be catostrophic.  Located just 600 miles southeast of Miam, Florida, Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere.
